6. Connecting to Necromium
6.1 Use your favourite client program to connect to necromium.com, port
4000.
6.2 The first question you will be asked is whether you want ANSI colour -
your choice is, of course, dictated by your preference and whether your
client program supports it.
6.3 You will then be asked to choose a name by which you will be known in
Necromium. Necromium's naming policy requires a medieval, non-offensive,
name - please don't pick something like "Korn" or "PimpDaddy". During the
character creation process, you may wish to read through the explanations
of the various classes in the game menus, and/or familiarise yourself with
sections 2 and 3 of this guide.
6.4 We have spent some time in coding a tour for new players, and we
encourage you to take it. The tour takes you through important locations
in the main city of Necromium, and teaches you how to cope with death. To
take the tour, all you need to do is type "Y" when prompted.
