I n the early age of man a great guild was formed by an army of rogues and mercenaries. Establishing outposts around the world they would for a price hunt those who had wronged their clients and take their heads. Known as the bounty hunters they led a profitable trade in revenge and vengance for many years as the dark hearts of men could never be satisfied.

But then came a day when the daggers stopped striking. The bounty shops were empty and the hunters gone. No warning or message preceeded this event which only made the fears of the people grow. Why did the bounty hunters disappear? Where did they go? Do they even still exist?

Some say a bounty hunter was bold enough to take a bounty against a god and in anger the god destroyed the entire guild. Others say that the hunters learned of a great treasure across the seas and took to the ocean seeking adventure. A few claim that they have seen the ancient hunters in the service of the dark lord Emitria, acting as scouts and spies for his hidden army. For ages now they remain unseen, with the most frightening stories claiming that they still exist and will soon return to reclaim long forgotten bounties.
